Booking a bus trip from Singapore to Malacca

Received an email from a visitor to the website, MyExpressBus.com , commenting of the difficulty in booking bus tickets from Singapore to Malacca via the phone or Internet. I can understand how frustrated she felt when the express bus companies in Singapore did not want to accept credit card booking via phone. These bus companies are still relying on the good old method of cash payment. So if you want to pre-book your tickets, you will have to make an additional trip personally to their ticketing office. Otherwise, go to the bus terminal and risk not getting a seat. As for online booking via the Internet, the company that has such service only ply the Singapore-KL and Singapore-Petaling Jaya route at the moment. Go check www.aeroline.com.sg for latest service route. Singapore may boast to have world class land transportation - but within the island. It is time for the Singapore Tourism Board to look in modernising our outbound bus services.

Taking bus from Kovan Express Terminal to Malacca

I went to Kovan Hub 206 earlier today to book bus tickets to Malacca. I decided to try out this new service and take a bus to Malacca . I will be going on the 24 June and spend my weekend there with my wife - shopping. We planned to visit the night market. The place is pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. We also plan to try out the food at a coffee shop near the night market. Beside the night market, we will be spending some time at Mahkota Parade as we will be staying at Century Makhota Hotel which is walking distance from the shopping complex.

Kovan Express Bus Terminal

It has been many months since I wrote in this blog. I was spending time updating my other blogs and neglected this one. Also, I was already getting quite a good flow of visitors to the website on express bus to Kuala Lumpur and did not see the need to update this blog. Anyway, I am excited. I going to visit Malacca. Yes, this is the third time I am going to the historical town on the west coast of Malaysia in less than 6 months. This time I am going there by bus. I intend to take an express bus from the new Kovan Hub 206 Express Bus Terminal . Bus services to various destinations in Malaysia will begin on 15 June 2005. And for Malacca, there is a daily service scheduled at 8 a.m. The bus fare, S$16, is slightly higher than those available at Lavendar Street however the seats are wider on the 26-seater coach.
